Our Team

Lester "Troy" Tayong proudly wears his heart on his sleeve as he has represented the Philippine National Sailing Team in several South East Asian Games. In his debut performance in the 2007 SEA Games held in Thailand's Ocean Marina Yacht Club, he won the silver medal for the Men's 420 sailing event. While in the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore, he bagged a silver medal with his partner EMERSON VILLENA in the 470 CLASS event. While in 2017 he and EMERSON VILLENA settled for the bronze medal in the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur. But with even more practice, dedication and perseverance,  Troy and his partner, Emerson Villena secured their first gold in the 2019 SEA Games.

There is no doubt that Troy belongs in the water. And when he's not sailing, his feet (and head) are firmly on the ground as he assumes the  position of Caylabne Marina's Dockmaster! He was successfully selected from over 15 other applicants that CBRM Management had interviewed. "Despite his medal collection, I found him to be down to earth," says Ms. Cathy Lee Tolentino, General Manager of CBRM.  His strength and good character as a national athlete are visible in his role to manage Caylabne Bay's Marina venture.

When he isn't working or participating in races he is a devoted family man to his wife CHARMAINE JOY "CHARM" TAYONG and their 3 children. Troy originally hails from Cavite. The CBRM Management is lucky to have him on board to guide our existing staff and share his boating knowledge. Mabuhay Troy!

T.E.A.M Together Everyone Achieves More

Jerry Rollin

After leaving school in the late 1980s, Jerry was commissioned into the South Wales Borders Regiment of the British Army. Having served in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Northern Ireland and Germany, he married and moved into industrial human resources. He settled in the West of England and had a family of 3 girls. Jerry joined a large British Company and worked in Gloucester, London and Liverpool. During this time, he was divorced. In 1987 he was promoted as President of Dunlop Slazenger Philippines Inc. and responsible for their manufacturing factory in Marivelles, Bataan and the Sales and Marketing of Dunlop, Slazenger and Carlton  products in the Philippines.

His children grew up in England visiting the Philippines for holidays. Jerry now has 5 grandchildren.

After building a new factory for Dunlop Slazenger in Bataan he was asked by Dunlop to return to the UK. But after 8 years in the Philippines, he not only fell in love with the country but found the love of his life with his charming wife Cynthia Lagdameo Carrion. With a successful history in the tennis industry, it was natural for him to start a company building tennis courts. Since the start of the company in 1995 he has expanded into many sports related and outdoor activity products. Still building tennis courts and football field his company Advantage Sports and Leisure now has a large range of sunshade and tension membrane products too.

Since he set foot in the Philippines in 1987, Jerry he has been increasingly involved in sailing by managing and organizing sailing and boating events throughout the country. As an active crew, navigator and tactician he participated in all the local regattas and international events around Asia as well as in UK, Sardinia, Ireland and  Australia. In addition, as a World Sailing International Race Officer, he has managed Asian Championships and World Championship events in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Fiji and Thailand as well as assisting with sailing events in UK, Mexico and South Korea.

It was sometime 2014 that Caylabne Management met Jerry. Our then consultant Harry Taylor who was also an avid sailor, introduced Jerry to us over lunch at the Elk’s Lodge. It was simply a casual introduction that fast forward to today has been a wonderful working relationship as our Marina Consultant. His tremendous knowledge that he’s provided and continuously providing in our Marina development stems from him being unremittingly in the sailing community.

He President of the Philippine Inter Island Sailing Foundation, which organises Hobie Cat races all over the country and other class events in Luzon. Over the years he has been a Director of the Manila Yacht Club, Chairman of the President’s Cup Regatta and Race Committee Chairman of the  South East Asian Games. Jerry is currently also the Secretary General of the Philippine Sailing Association, Independent Director of Club Punta Fuego and a Director of International Marine Services Inc. It’s no wonder why Ms. Cathy, Caylabne’s General Manager refers to him as “Jerry Rockin and Rollin!”

His lovely wife Cynthia is an absolute match for him, with the countless activities and responsibilities that she too has had. She’s a former Undersecretary at the Department of Tourism and COO of the Tourism Promotions Board. While currently she’s keeping herself busy as the Chairwoman of the Corregidor Foundation Inc., President of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippine, Treasurer of the Philippine Olympic Committee, Member of the Executive Board of the Asian Gymnastics Union and Council Member of its mother World Federation in Switzerland.

Jerry says his big regret at the moment is that he has sold his boat and does not get out on the water as much as he would like to. “Cynthia and I used to really enjoy sailing together but we are both so busy. I hope that we can soon put this right and get out on the water again.” Everyone in the Caylabne team will certainly be looking forward to that!
